San Joaquin County Head Start: Child outcomes bulletin 2013

Description:
This report examines findings in learning outcomes for the Head Start program in San Joaquin County, California. A comparison of scores of enrolled 3-year-olds to that of 4-year-olds returning for their second year show an increase in all areas of development: Social-Emotional, Language, Physical, Cognitive, Literacy, and Mathematics. Additionally, findings for English language learners, who comprise nearly 50% of children in the program, are presented separately.
