Federal Research Efforts

The Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE), within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), supports child care and early education-related meetings, workgroups, and research projects. OPRE studies ACF programs and the populations they serve through rigorous research and evaluation projects. These include evaluations of existing programs, evaluations of innovative approaches to helping low-income children and families, research syntheses, and descriptive and exploratory studies. Additional information about OPRE is available on their website.

Information on ACF program offices and the federal early childhood training and technical assistance system is available on the Early Childhood Training and Technical Assistance website.

Through this page, you can explore resources from OPRE-supported child care and early education meetings, workgroups, projects, and the Network of Infant/Toddler Researchers (NitR).
