Description:

CUSP Public is 3Si’s free data and interactive visualization tool to explore, analyze, and download child population, demographic, and program eligibility data for all states and counties in the U.S. (author abstract)

Contents:

Child population: Use the filters below to segment the total child population (ages 0 through 12 years) by income in terms of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) or State Median Income (SMI), household labor participation, and age.

Program eligibility: Use the filters below to segment the child population by income (in terms of the Federal Poverty Level, or FPL, and/or the State Median Income, or SMI). The map and information pane will show how many children out of the selected population are eligible for key funded programs [CCDF, Early Head Start/Head Start].

Scenario analysis: Use the filters below to analyze alternative program eligibility scenarios. For example, the baseline scenario could reflect the current eligibility requirements for a funded program [CCDF, Early Head Start/Head Start]. The modeled scenario can reflect a different set of eligibility requirements.
