The Health Aspects of Kindergarten Readiness Technical Workgroup believes that the role of the health sector is to provide family-centered services and to work internally to integrate services as well as collaboratively with other sectors to ensure children are healthy in preparation for kindergarten. The workgroup’s vision of transformative action and results requires a focus on physical, oral, developmental, and social-emotional health, in combination. (author abstract)
