Description:
In summary, results from this study indicated that a 9-item, short-form (dichotomously scored) CES–D was generally as efficient as the full-scale CES–D in terms of accurately identifying cases of MDD. However, given the low PPV observed for all cutoff scores, the CES–D appears to be best confined to front-line, screening situations. (author abstract)
