Delaware Early Care and Education Workforce Study report

Description:
The Delaware Early Care and Education Workforce Study was commissioned by the Delaware Early Care and Education Council of the Office of Early Care and Education to help explain to policy makers and program planners what early care and education programs need and to inform them about the people who work in the field of early care and education. The specific research questions for the study were: - How many people are employed by this workforce? - What are salary levels throughout the early care and education field? - What employee benefits does the early care and education workforce have? - How much turnover is there in this field and what are some of the factors contributing to that turnover? - What professional development and training opportunities would be most utilized by the professionals currently employed? - What are the economic contributions that early care and education programs and their employees make in this state?
