2022 Arkansas workforce study: Instructional staff in early childhood care & education: Executive summary

Description:

This study uses a similar approach and many of the same survey questions as the 2017 workforce study. We asked questions related to compensation and economic security, education and experience, opportunities for career advancement, job satisfaction, and mental health. For the present study, we were interested in two additional issues: First, we wanted to gauge awareness of and intent to apply for the T.E.A.C.H. scholarship program for ECCE professionals. The program will receive $40 million in ARPA funds. It is important to know whether awareness of the program is sufficient to attract diverse candidates throughout the state. AECA can use this information to develop communication strategies. Second, we added questions specific to the impact of the state’s minimum wage increases on staff economic security and experiences in the field. (author abstract)
