At the Rennie Center, we believe it's critical that those working in education—from classrooms to the State House—have access to updated, relevant, accurate data. This interactive data dashboard tracks a wide-ranging set of indicators in the Massachusetts education system, from early education through college and career. Over the past 10 years, these indicators have helped us illuminate successes and highlight challenges across the state. As the data in this dashboard indicates, while Massachusetts has remained committed to strong standards and inclusive learning settings, the pandemic contributed to declines in achievement and the widening of already substantial gaps in learning. The tool provides a look at both state- and district-level data on everything from student enrollment trends and teacher retention rates to school discipline data and test scores. Many of the indicators can be disaggregated based on race, gender, and socioeconomic status. Data can also be sorted by district. This is publicly available data collected from state agencies and institutions of higher education. Unless otherwise indicated, all data are the most recently available as of January.
