City of Seattle family child care study: Strategy options

Description:
These strategy options are the result of the City of Seattle's family child care study, conducted in 2018 by Dovetailing Consulting and Kaizen Clara Consulting on behalf of the City of Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL), with guidance from the City's Family Child Care Advisory Council (FCCAC). Through the study, DEEL sought to: reflect on past efforts; understand the characteristics, needs, and ideas of current family child care providers (FCCs); and, use these to craft strategies that can help FCCs continue to sustain their businesses and enhance the quality of their programs. The ultimate goal of this effort is to improve the learning and development of children in FCC care. (author abstract)
