Supporting a diverse early childhood workforce for dual language learners

With a focus on supporting dual language learners by developing a culturally and linguistically competent early childhood workforce, this document discusses differences between the birth-age 5 workforce and the K-12 workforce, provides five recommendations for state boards of education to support and develop the workforce, and gives examples of efforts in Illinois and New York.
