Economic impact of the early care and education industry on the economy of the state of Alabama

Description:
The purpose of this report is to document an economic impact study of the early care and education (ECE) industry in Alabama. For purposes of this report, the ECE industry includes all out-of-home programs where children from birth to age 5 attend in the years prior to formal schooling (K-12). This includes child care and preschool centers, family day care and group homes, Head Start, and First Class Pre-K programs for 4 year olds. (author abstract)
