American almanac of family homelessness 2015

Description:
This almanac provides updated data on family homelessness across the United States. Detailed data from each state is presented, ranked, and compared to nationwide figures. State rankings are based on performance in the areas of identification and serving of homeless children, as well as policies addressing prevention and efforts to help families regain housing stability. State ranking indicators include: percentage of children in Early Head start and Head Start who are homeless; homeless children as a percentage of poor children in pre-kindergarten; and state policies that reduce homeless families' barriers to accessing child care. This book also features commentaries on homelessness trends, policies, causes, and effects, as well as safety net and education programs.
