This brief provides an overview of the elements involved in a comprehensive quality rating and improvement system (QRIS). These components include: standards; accountability; outreach and support; financing incentives; and parent engagement. This brief is particularly geared toward Tribal leaders who may be interested in developing their own QRIS programs.
