This brief examines the advantages to providing additional tax credits to families in an effort to promote high quality early childhood education in Michigan. It outlines Louisiana's model, known as the School Readiness Tax Credits, which provides incentives packaged as four tax credits aimed toward families, child care programs, teacher and directors, and businesses.
