The job satisfaction questionnaire used in the current analysis was inspired by a pre-existing job satisfaction questionnaire designed for teachers of school-aged children (Perrachione, Rosser, & Petersen, 2008). While Perrachione et al.’s questionnaire consisted of 34-items; the current questionnaire consists of 16-items. The number of questions was reduced so that preschool teachers could complete the questionnaire in less time. All answers involved circling a number ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree), allowing this form to be completed in less than 10 min. The greater their level of satisfaction with a particular variable, the higher they scored on each question (strongly agree [7]). The questions in the job satisfaction questionnaire were single-item questions based on the preschool teachers’ personal thoughts (questions 1–7), classroom responsibilities (questions 8–12), and relationships with others (questions 13–16).
