Market rate survey summary

Description:

All child care providers are given the survey form to complete and return upon entry into the system and upon renewals of certification, registration, or licensure. The state achieves a 100% response rate as the licensing data system cannot issue a license or registration unless the market rate survey is returned, the data entered by the licensing specialist and then approved by the regulatory supervisor. Child care providers are asked to update their rates any time changes are made. As 100% of child care providers in the state submit their data, the data is checked by the licensing specialist for accuracy prior to data entry, and then the regulatory supervisor performs a third level check, the state does not have any validity or reliability concerns regarding the information.
