Batería IV Woodcock-Muñoz technical abstract

Description:

This Assessment Service Bulletin provides a summary of the procedures followed in developing and validating the Batería IV Woodcock-Muñoz (Batería IV; Woodcock, Alvarado, Schrank, McGrew, Mather, & Muñoz-Sandoval, 2019a) as a comprehensive measure of individuals’ cognitive abilities and academic achievement in Spanish. Throughout the development and design of the Batería IV, the test standards outlined in the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (American Educational Research Association [AERA], American Psychological Association [APA], & National Council on Measurement in Education [NCME], 2014) were followed carefully. Information in this bulletin is abstracted from the Woodcock-Johnson® IV Technical Manual (McGrew, LaForte, & Schrank, 2014) and the Batería IV examiner’s manuals and is intended as an overview to highlight important aspects of the test design, reliability, and validity of the Batería IV. Readers who are interested in more detailed information should consult the Woodcock-Johnson IV Technical Manual and the Batería IV examiner’s manuals. (author abstract)
