This research was foundational in the development of Colorado’s Early Childhood Workforce 2020 Plan, which strongly emphasized recruiting, retaining, compensating, and supporting the early childhood workforce. To advance and test innovation in these areas, the Early Childhood Workforce Innovation Grants were launched in 2018. With the support of Early Milestones’ evaluation partner, Mathematica, grantees tested solutions to achieve sustainable, scalable, and replicable workforce models. This report summarizes the efforts of the grantees and how they have positively impacted 34 counties between 2018 and 2022. (author abstract)
