New Mexico has participated in the pilot of the State Administrative Cost of Quality Tool of the Center on Enhancing Early Learning Outcomes. This is a reflection on the transition that occurred when the New Mexico departments coordinating this pilot (Children, Youth and Families and Public Education) were reorganized in a way that put the program under the state's Early Childhood Education and Care Department.
