Professional Development and Early Care and Education Workforce Workgroup

Purpose

The Professional Development and Early Care and Education Workforce Workgroup is intended to facilitate the exchange of information, research and evaluations on the professional development of the early care and education (ECE) workforce. It provides a learning community to support discussions of emerging research, evaluation strategies and policy initiatives designed to support and strengthen the workforce. This workgroup occasionally coordinates with other CCEEPRC Workgroups on issues of professional development implementation (e.g., partnering with INQUIRE on engaging the ECE workforce in quality improvement initiatives; partnering with the Children with Disabilities Workgroup on support for the ECE workforce working with children with disabilities).

The workgroup is funded through the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE) in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and managed through a contract with Child Trends.
