What I have attempted is to provide a broad overview of the day care field, a basic state-of-the-art guidebook for those seriously concerned about preschool day care. The goal has been to provide a starting place for general discussion, a synthesis of available knowledge and experience, a basis for further study, and, above all, some practical information for those actively involved in day care.
