A critical calculation: Supporting the inclusion of math in early childhood degree programs

Description:
This brief summarizes findings related to early mathematical content included in early childhood education degree programs across eight states. Conducted between 2012 and 2017, the studies explored how institutions of higher education and their programs were situated to educate and support early care and education (ECE) professionals in this content area. Findings from the studies and implications for the degree programs and the wider ECE field are included. (author abstract)
