School readiness in San Francisco: 2015-16

Description:
The order and layout of this report is designed to serve as both a "snapshot" of readiness that portrays not just what readiness looks like, but how different states of readiness may be shaped by family context and other community, health, and educational resources. The first section of the report presents the study's methodology: sample design, instruments, and data collection methods. The next section describes the demographic and health and well-being characteristics of the children assessed according to teachers' reports. This is followed by a detailed analysis of student readiness across the different building blocks of readiness and by assorted factors associated with readiness. (author abstract)
