Description: The Child Care Policy Research Consortium (CCPRC) was founded in 1995. This history of the Consortium's first 20 years was compiled by a review of documents and a collection of interviews at the time of its 2015 meeting, at which time the Consortium was renamed the Child Care and Early Education Policy Research Consortium (CCEEPRC). This history presents member accounts of the role of the Consortium in the development of child care research during this era. It describes the influence of selected Consortium projects on child care policy and practice throughout the United States. It lists selected major topical studies of the consortium. It describes the organization-of-information activities of Child Care and Early Education Research Connections. It lists and describes several projects of funded Child Care Research Scholars. Appended to this history are detailed lists and charts of the topics addressed at meetings, roundtables, and workgroups, as well as several pages of member reflections on the work and history of the Consortium.
