The School Readiness Goals and Head Start Program Functioning project generated knowledge about how Head Start grantees develop and utilize school readiness goals. The project included a study of the processes used to define, measure, and prioritize goals. This study examined the mechanisms programs use to communicate goals, and how they use data to inform program planning.
