The National Survey of Early Care and Education (NSECE) sample design called for construction of a national sampling frame of early care and education (ECE) center-based and home-based providers. The construction involved both national lists of ECE providers as well as lists collected from state agencies from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This document specifies the lists, with their definitions, that were collected and incorporated into the NSECE provider sampling frame. (author abstract)
