This PowerPoint presentation accompanies a webinar that examines the Benchmarks for Quality Improvement (BQI) project, which was developed to create a mechanism to help States track their progress in serving low-income children in higher quality settings. Highlighted are available resources to aid in the evaluation and improvement of quality rating and improvement systems (QRIS), focusing on the following elements: program standards; supports for programs and practitioners; financial incentives and supports; quality assurance and monitoring; and consumer education.
