Trends in building the capacity of state early childhood systems: An update on the work of State Advisory Councils

This webinar examines the State Advisory Council's (SAC) seven legislative requirements focusing on the following areas: statewide needs assessments; collaboration and coordination among publicly-funded early childhood programs and services; increasing participation and outreach; data collection system unification; professional development; assessment of early childhood higher education institutes; and state early learning standards. Council representatives from Texas, New York, and Oregon share how SAC grants have enabled their states to implement initiatives within and beyond grant requirements.
