Disparate access: Selected state findings

Description:
This document presents four tables that break down, in select states and by child race, the percent of eligible children served by Early Head Start, Head Start, and Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG)-funded child care arrangements. The charts include the top-five states in which the percentage of eligible participants is highest among populations of Black, Hispanic/Latino/a, and Asian infants. Next, top-ten and bottom-ten lists are presented for the percentage of eligible children served in Head Start preschool for each of the aforementioned racial/ethnic categories. Finally, a top-ten and a bottom-ten list are presented listing states' percentages of eligible children served by CCDBG-funded programs of the following races: Black, Hispanic/Latino/a, American Indian/Alaska Native, and Asian.
