This state-level evaluation of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program (CCLC): Reviews the program history and the current evaluation process; identifies validity threats; examines the best current examples of local CCLC evaluations; briefly reviews the current evidence about measures of effective afterschool programs; and suggests improvements in the evaluation measures and process.
