This PowerPoint presentation accompanies a webinar that examines concerns about young children's challenging behavior as well as recent early childhood expulsion data. Presenters share examples of intervention approaches to promote children's social and emotional competence, as well as supports for parents and teachers. Legislative steps, such as the Pre-K Student Discipline Amendment Act of 2015, are discussed along with other jurisdictional policies to reduce suspensions and expulsions from publicly-funded child care.
