Description: The brief and its parent report are part of a larger Urban Institute project -- Bridging the Gap: Understanding the Intersection between Workforce Development and Child Care -- supported by the Ford Foundation, that examines the intersection between workforce development and child care. These two publications focus on one element of this intersection: the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), the major federal and state child care assistance program.
