The study has provided an insight into the values and belief-systems of those people with a stake in early childhood care and education in Ireland. Based on an ecological approach, the report examined the multiple systems within which the child develops and the ECCE setting is located through direct observation, interviews and a detailed review of current literature, policy developments and discourse in the field.
