A summary of an exploration of child assessment teaching practices in New Zealand teacher education programs and the relationship of assessment practices to Samoan worldviews and cultural values and practices, based on interviews with 2 Samoan teacher education program graduates, focus groups with 8 staff at two Samoan early childhood education centers, and a consultative discussion group with 20 members of an early childhood education network
