Promoting workforce development to improve early childhood care and education

This brief provides an overview of evidence-based practices and policies that state leaders can use to support meaningful workforce development practices, which ultimately improve early childhood program quality and promote positive child outcomes. Additionally, the brief discusses potential implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on state leaders’ options for influencing workforce development at the state and program levels. (author abstract)
