Description:
This policy brief explores federal and state efforts to implement language access-related policies within the major programs in the early childhood field. It begins by highlighting the linguistic diversity of DLLs’ families and the need for data to inform language access measures. It then outlines the language access requirements of major ECEC programs and discusses evidence of disparities in access to them, underscoring the urgent need for action.
