“Journey to becoming early childhood facilities champions”

This paper describes how Detroit’s early childhood partnership called Hope Starts Here utilized financial support from community development financial institutions (CDFIs) to build early childhood facilities across the city to support their vision of success for all children. There is a discussion about the importance of quality in ECE facilities; examples of two women child care providers, and an explanation of the role of CDFIs.
