Costs of evidence-based early childhood home visiting: Results from the Mother and Infant Home Visiting Program Evaluation

Description:

Using data from the federally-funded Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program from 2012-2017, this report presents goals and findings of a cost analysis from the Mother and Infant Home Visiting Program Evaluation (MIHOPE). Specifically, the evaluation includes analyses of the allocation of resources at home visiting programs and the cost to serve a family during the family’s first year. The differences in cost allocation between families, programs, and other factors are discussed with supporting data tables and figures.
