Building on a partnership with a team of legal researchers and public health researchers, the study aims were: (1) develop a measure, grounded firmly in the best available science, to reliably measure the strength and comprehensiveness of child care licensing regulations related to healthy weight promotion, and (2) examine changes in the strength and comprehensiveness of these regulations from 2016 to 2020.
