New York State Senator Jabari Brisport and the Alliance for Quality Education toured child care sites throughout New York State to conduct discussions with parents and providers about the state’s child care situation. This report is a compilation of the outcomes of these discussions. The authors also present the results of a survey of parents and providers that highlights access challenges for parents and operational challenges for providers. The results of this tour and survey are being used to draft a bill in the 2022 New York State Senate to address the issues this report has identified.
