This begins with a description of the role of child care resource & referral agencies (CCR&Rs) and provides examples of the services they offer to families and child care providers. It continues with a description of the role of community development financial institutions (CDFIs) in providing the financial services to child care providers, including the facilitation of the distribution of emergency, relief, private, and government funds. It then discusses the ways in which the two types of organizations can work together to assist providers with their finance-related needs. Examples are provided both from before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
