Are states recognizing and responding to the needs of their dual language learner children?

This webinar provides an overview of key characteristics of dual language learner (DLL) children and their families, along with relevant early childhood education and care (ECEC) policies. Specifically, these system level policies address three areas: bilingual education, quality rating and improvement systems (QRIS), and kindergarten entry/readiness assessments. Particular focus is on California's support of dual language learners through the presentation of best practices and ongoing initiatives in the state.
