Re-thinking workforce training for low-income moms

Description:
This webinar discusses the challenges and opportunities involved when parents need both education/training and child care access/support. Viewers will learn about Bridging the Gap, a project that examines how child care intersects with postsecondary education and workforce development for low-income parents. In addition, a presenter from Mississippi shares how a new job training model couples nontraditional job training for higher-paying jobs (e.g., construction) with child care assistance to enable low-income mothers to participate and succeed.
