Building a robust afterschool system: Lessons and opportunities

This webinar provides an examination of afterschool systems, focusing on key support elements and a coordinated systems approach. Representatives from three communities (Providence, Rhode Island; Palm Beach County, Florida; and Seattle/King County, Washington) share their experiences in developing citywide afterschool systems. They discuss challenges faced and successes earned along the way, and explore growth opportunities for sustainable systems. Emerging issues affecting afterschool systems building are explored. These include partnerships, funding, provider capacity, data collection and usage, and social-emotional learning.
