A special issue of the International Journal of Early Years Education, focusing on current policy debates and discourses in early childhood education and care (ECEC) services within several European countries and New Zealand. Additionally, this special issue features an overview of the discourses of the participants of a multinational advocacy conference focused on ECEC quality, accessibility, professionalization, curriculum, parent involvement, evaluation, systems, and services for low-income and migrant families.
