The 2010 School Readiness Report is provided in response to HCR 179 (Rep Badon) of the 2010 Legislative Session. This resolution urged and requested that the Department of Social Services (now the Department of Children and Family Services) and the Department of Education work collaboratively to ensure that children enter kindergarten ready to learn, to establish and maintain infrastructure for the coordination of data, and to submit by March 1 annually a school readiness report.
