Description:
During late 2012 and early 2013, OregonASK hosted a dozen focus groups for parents in ten communities across western Oregon to discuss their perceptions and priorities with regard to the afterschool programs that are available for their children. The groups were held in urban, suburban, town, and rural locales; 85 parents participated. This report contains a summary of findings from these sessions, including overall themes in the discussions as well as quantitative rankings of parent priorities for afterschool program services and activities.
