This report, entitled Texas Head Start/Early Head Start Needs Assessment 2013-2014 Survey Results, presents findings from a survey of staff and directors representing 38 of the 82 grantees in Texas for the school year 2013-2014. The purpose of the survey was to gather information for site-based assessment of Head Start/Early Head Start programs with specific focus on cooperation, coordination, and collaboration within the four HSSCO Priority Areas to support the key activity areas listed below: 1) School Transitions; a) Publicly Funded Pre-K Partnership Development *; b) Head Start Transition and Alignment with K-12 (Education)*; 2) Professional Development *; 3) Child Care and Early Childhood Systems *; 4) Regional Office Priorities; a) Health Care *; b) Family/Child Assistance; c) Military Families * d) Children Experiencing Homelessness; e) Family Literacy Services; f) Children with Disabilities and their Families; g) Community Services. * These are the only areas surveyed for the 2013-2014 School Year.
