Description:
The Oregon Employment Department Child Care Division surveyed certified child care center directors in Oregon in December 2010 and January 2011. The survey provides data that can be used to guide decision-making about services and training for these providers. They were asked questions related to their knowledge about programs, agencies, and professional organizations in Oregon that support and regulate child care providers; their own and their staff's training and education; their own and their staff's knowledge about the state licensing process; their experiences related to the Child Care Division's central office and field staff, including how their complaints had been handled; their perceptions of the availability of information about training; and their use of the Child Care Division's website.
