| Description: | This data collection supplies standard monthly labor force data for the week prior to the survey. Comprehensive information is given on the employment status, occupation, and industry of persons 14 years old and older. Additional data for persons aged 15 years old and older are available concerning weeks worked, hours per week worked, reason not working full-time, total income and income components, and residence. This match file is comprised of records for six rotation groups common to the March and April 1982 Current Population Surveys. Data on alimony and child support are collected from the April supplement for females 18 years old and older. These data highlight alimony and child support arrangements made at the time of separation or divorce, amount of payments actually received, and value and type of any property settlement. Information on demographic characteristics, such as age, sex, race, marital status, veteran status, household relationship, educational attainment, and Hispanic origin, is available for each person in the household enumerated. Data on employment and income refer to the previous year, while demographic data refer to the time of the survey. |
